Strategic Planning Training Opportunity

Supporting Your Success: Strategic Skills for Managers

This fall, the BC Excluded Employees’ Association is launching a strategic planning process to refresh and strengthen the organization’s mandate and direction. The BCEEA intends to use volunteers to assist with the planning process, which will be designed and led by Liz Gilliland. All volunteers will be offered a full day of strategic planning training similar to the highly successful sessions that Liz has facilitated for a variety of organizations. Liz has taught strategic planning at the University of Victoria’s School of Public Administration and has extensive experience providing career development coaching service to members of the public service. Volunteer participants will learn the fundamental steps in facilitating and developing strategic plans and will be introduced to a variety of key facilitative techniques. Following their participation in the BCEEA’s planning process, volunteers will also be offered a free personal coaching session from Liz.

To qualify for this opportunity, you must be an excluded employee and be willing to commit a full day and a half – one day for training and half day for a strategic planning session.

Liz is an engaging facilitator who creates lively learning environments – so be prepared to learn and have fun!

Expressions of interest must be submitted to reception@bceea.bc.ca by 5:00 PM on Friday, September 4th. A maximum of fifteen volunteers will be selected on a “first-come first-serve” basis.

The training session will be held during the week of September 21st – 25th in the BCEEA boardroom located at 303 - 852 Fort Street in Victoria. BCEEA will provide refreshments, lunch and all necessary materials but is unable to cover any associated travel costs.

If you have any questions, please contact Liz Gilliland at 250-356-2927.
