Live Meeting Invitation... Health & Wellness: Mood, Food & Stress

Join by Live Meeting - our first province wide event

Please join the BCEEA the afternoon of Monday, December 7th at 4:00pm, as we celebrate our collective progress along the road to healthy living and recognize the outstanding achievements of some very special BC government employees who have really moved the yardstick on improving workplace health and well being. Log on and watch the winning team receive their award and hear from an expert about how the food you eat during the day can affect how you feel at work! The BCEEA is excited – why?

  • Join by Live Meeting -- our first province wide event
  • Mano Sandhu, President of the BCEEA & Andy Hazlewood, ADM of Population Health, will present the BCEEA’s Health & Wellness Promotion award -- our fourth annual
  • David Galbraith, ADM of ActNow BC, will introduce keynote speaker, Leah Hawirko -- in his own engaging way
  • Leah Hawirko will fill you in on how to eat better to improve your mood and reduce stress
  • Time:  4:00pm to 5:00pm

MOOD, FOOD & STRESS

Leah will probe the answers to your burning questions, such as: “Did that cheese burger put me to sleep, or was it just that Briefing Note?” and “How many mocha java lattes will it take to help me finish this report?” In her presentation, “Mood, Food, and Stress,” learn how the right food choices can have an enormous impact on how you feel. In stressful times, these simple everyday choices become even more important.

Leah Hawirko, B.Sc. (RD) is a health promotion expert with 20 years experience working in community, corporate and acute care settings. She is currently the Director for the Centre of Excellence for Tobacco Reduction, Western Canada. The BCEEA is delighted that she will be joining us from her Vancouver office by Live Meeting.

Thanks to all of you for your enthusiastic support and participation. We look forward to this opportunity to get together to celebrate the winning team’s success.
