Dear Colleagues:
I would like to thank each and every one of you for your support in pursuing our Recruitment Campaign that ran from February 17th to March 31st. I am very pleased to announce that your efforts resulted in 30 applications for membership.
Thirty new members is very good news. However, we still have a long way to go to reach our goals, including the point where we can consider reducing your membership fees. I encourage you to continue with the worthwhile task of spreading the messages about the value of the BCEEA to excluded public service employees as a whole, and as individuals. Together we can make a difference.
I would like to thank the staff and Executive Director, David Day, and my colleagues on the BCEEA Board of Directors for putting in a huge effort in making this campaign go smoothly. The staff were instrumental in compiling and distributing the information packages across the province. My fellow board members deserve equal recognition for personally reinforcing the messages by taking time out of their personal lives to reach out to hundreds of prospective members.
We are very proud of our accomplishments as a professional association whose sole purpose is to support excluded employees. However, a strong membership base is essential to our ability to continue to serve. You can be instrumental in maintaining and growing that base by continuously spreading the word about the BCEEA to all current non-members and newly appointed excluded employees. We are absolutely positive that this simple effort will increase our membership counts. We need you to do this for us! We need you to do it for yourself!
Thank you again for all your efforts,
Mano Sandhu
President
